Create an Autodesk Account

To get the AutoCAD trial version, you first need to create an Autodesk account.

1. Open the Autodesk website and click 'Sign In' in the upper left.
   
2. To create a new account, click 'Create Account'.
   
3. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and password, check the box for 'I agree to the Autodesk Terms of Use', and then click 'Create Account' to proceed.
   
4. This completes the account creation.
   Clicking 'Done' will redirect you to the Autodesk homepage.
   
5. You can then confirm that you are already logged in to Autodesk.
   

Download the AutoCAD Trial Installer

Now that you have created an Autodesk account, let's download the AutoCAD trial version.

1. Click 'Products' in the header menu and select 'AutoCAD Plus' from the dropdown. The AutoCAD product page will open.
   
2. Next to the pricing options, click 'Download free trial'.
   
3. Select the AutoCAD trial version you want to download.
   If you only want to use the regular AutoCAD, select 'AutoCAD'; if your machine is a Mac, select 'AutoCAD for Mac'; and if you want to use the specialized toolsets, select the desired industry-specific AutoCAD, then click 'Next'.
   
4. Information will be displayed for you to review, so click 'Next'.
   
5. Select your purpose of use. Select 'Business user' and click 'Next'.
   If you are a student or educator, you can use AutoCAD for free indefinitely. (However, registration with an educational institution is required, and the student version of AutoCAD has certain limitations, such as on printing.)
   
6. Enter your company name, state/prefecture, postal code, and phone number, and click the 'Begin download' button to start downloading AutoCAD.
   Be sure to save it to an easy-to-find location, such as your desktop.
