Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install and configure Fusion 360 on your machine.

1. Run the Setup File

Locate the installer file you just downloaded.

From your browser: Click the downloaded file directly from your browser's download bar.

From your computer: Navigate to your Downloads folder and double-click the Fusion 360 executable file.

The installer will automatically extract the files and begin the setup process. Wait a few moments for the progress bar to complete.

2. Sign In to Your Autodesk Account

Once the initial installation finishes, Fusion 360 will prompt you to sign in.

Existing Users: Enter your registered email address and password, then click Sign In.

New Users: Click Create Account and follow the prompts. Setting up a new Autodesk account takes less than a minute.

3. Verify Your Email Address (New Accounts)

If you just created an account, Autodesk requires email verification.

Click Get Verification Email in the application window.

Check your email inbox for a message from Autodesk and click the Verify Email button inside that message.

Click Done to proceed.

Return to the Fusion 360 window and click Already Verified? Yes.

4. Create Your Fusion Team Workspace

Fusion 360 operates on a cloud-based team structure, allowing you to easily collaborate on projects.

Click Next on the welcome screen.

Click Create Team.

Enter a name for your team (e.g., your company name or personal project name) and click Next.

Click Create to finalize your workspace.

Fusion 360 will take a few seconds to configure your new team environment.

Once completed, click Go to Team, and then hit OK.

Congratulations! Fusion 360 is now fully installed and ready to use.

A Quick Tip for Windows Users
When trying to open the software later, you might instinctively look for "Fusion 360" under the letter F in your Windows Start Menu.

However, the application is actually nested inside the Autodesk folder. To launch the software, open your Start Menu, scroll to A, expand the Autodesk folder, and select Fusion 360.
